Question Do I have a problem or not?

Nice to see the forum is back, i missed it those few days.

Ok, my questions is. I was out playing around this morning and I took a hard launch from a light. When my tires were spinning in first, I felt a knocking under my console, like from the drive shaft. I have a 5spd with a LSD 4:10 rear. Is this normal for he LSD or could I have a problem? I had no slippage or lose of power. I dont normally spin the rears (sport tires aint cheap!) so I never noticed this before. Thanks in advance guys!

Since that happened, is it gone or it always happens when you take off from a stop? Could be your guibo or bearing on the drive shaft, can you feel any vibration on the center console as you take off?

No, not normally, only this morning when I had the rears spinning. Even under hard starts or high RPMS between gear shifts its fine.

guibo or center bearing are the most likely culprits. Had same problem intermittently with Wife's Beemer, dropped exhaust and tunnel cover to find the center bearing rubber shot letting the drive shaft walk around every once and a while. New drive shaft and tranny mounts, no more problems
