1988 325iC -Idle too fast
1988 325iC Hi, Car starts after 2 or 3 revolutions and runs normal. Idle is about 900 RPM. As soon as I drive the car a little, idle is about 1800 RPM. No fault codes (1444=no problems detected). Any ideas? TIA! |

Check your vacuum lines. Also check your throttle body to make sure that nothing is sticking and also check your Air Flow Meter.

When its idling high like that take a small hammer and tap the idle air valve, if its still there tap on the mass air meter, the doors inside usually get stuck.

I also had the same problem, replaced the Throttle position sensor and it kinda worked, Also check the air intake pipes for parishes
