overheating at idle
today as i was going through a drivethrough, i had to sit idle for a little while and by the time i was out. my car had overheated to the top of the meter. what is wrong and what do i need to replace? any ideas?

Check your t-stat and your clutch fan. I'm having the same problem right now when I'm at idle or running in the city. Also check if you have any kind of coolant leak and also check that your water pump is working.

cool, my sensors do say check engine oil and check coolant but weve checked and there is plenty of coolant and oil. other than that, i am having the same problem

Had same problem, check your electric fan, make sure it turns on when temp. rises?
