325 finaly fixed
well i got a call from the shop today he says he has it fixed he said the idle was surging and sticking at 1500 rpms becuse when they put the after market wiring harness in they altered some of the original wires so all the sensors were not working together .so the ecu was getting the wrong signal he said he got it all worked out .im giong to pick it up tonight i really hope its fixed this time but the proof is in the pudding not getting to excited till i actually drive it for a while .there where times when i thought i had it fixed till the car warmed up and the idle went right up with the temp .i will up date later thanks for all the help you guess have givin me on this idle issue

no go on the fix o
well i went to get the car got in fired her up and the car idle was right at 750 wich was great .until i turned on the lights then it started its surging up and down up and down i now know its some kind of load problem becuse the thing idles fine if the light are off and the heater blower are off any kind of load on the system and i get bad idle surge if any idea's on that please let me know. one month in the shop 800 dollars later and no go this car has me so tired of e30s almost ready to get rid of it to much money to much ive spent for no improvment .anyway thanks again.

i fixed it for sure .i had replaced the idle control box little green one when i first started having this problem .but all simtoms still lead to this little green box so just for the hell of it i took the one out of the 733i we just got and sure shit the think idles perfect no surge with lights or blower all this time and it was two bad idle control boxes i guess three is a charm !!! car runs so nice thank god i dint give up on the thing thanks for all the responses im going for a drive
