Anyone out there own an e30 convertible?

I registered yesterday, so I am hardly an authority on the matter, but I havent seen a post or a picture of an e30 convertible yet! If you are reading this and saying to yourself, "self, you have a drop top." Please do me the honor of posting such. I have the only one in my state. (there were two, until I wrecked the other one... wasnt my fault so dont hate. lol)

Ill kick things off with some images of my car. Its a 1992 325i which I love dearly. even gave it a name. "Ruby"

and one random one of my 1st e30 a white 1990 325i automatic. (the only other one in my state, that is, it was. now its a parts car.)

If someone has one the same color I woll be SHOCKED!

awesome stuf. thanks for the heads up!

having the only one on the block is pretty awesome! correction, having the only 2, but after awhile, you start to wonder if anyone likes them anymore. (not that it would mater to me, Im not parting with Ruby!)

Yes as i said. Oh and thats only about 6.7% of total e30 production (2,344,341).

So I guess i really should have said:

the e30 318is is a rare one with only 41,234 made and about 12,000 of those finding their way to the states, 1.76% and 0.51% respectively.

Check this out for production numbers.

P.S. Im digin the blue on blue hye tide. I had a white 325 conv. with navy blue top and interior. Awesome car. may she rest in peace. I like to think good cars go to car heaven. The rest, namely hundai's go to a fiery incenerator in the earths core known as hades (for cars)

not only Hyundais
also the BMW e36/2, for example
and the e65 (pre-FL 7er)

but you're right, it's gotta be filled with cars from the 80s to the 90s...especially American, British (British Leyland) and Jap cars

yeah, good time period for sweat suits and techno, bad time for automobiles.

Im not a fan of the e36 either. too much plastic and not enough enginuity. All it was from 1992-1995 was an e30 with a different shell, and less comfortable seats. and the m3 of that era. lets not even go there! British leyland. Top Gear had an episode on them. Terrible cars!

holy cow! you have a hardtop for the convertible? I have been looking for one for quite some time. They didnt catch on too much back when the e30 was new I guess cause there arent too many of them.
