running out of alt!
my car chews up alternators like i eat twinkies. i don't like this. it's had two rebuilt bosch alternators in the last six months and three batteris were eaten in the process. the car only has 108000 miles on it,its a 89 325i,and it came from virginia so there really isn't any rust. any ideas?
what do you mean 'chewing up alternators' what exactly happens? maybe something is wrong w/your pullies/belt tension and its ruining the bearings on the alternator?

Are they over charing, or is the belt adjusted to tightly causing premature bearing failure?
With what you said that its eating batteries I would say its over charging. Possible bad ground, poor connection it can be a variaty of different things. More details would help.
