To answer your question on a wheel bearing noise, i can't really describe it in 3 letters it would be a kind of grinding/humming sound. If only one wheel bearing was bad you would hear less of it when you turning and adding weight to that wheel but otherwise you would probably hear it. It would also get louder with more speed.
