sloppy tranny

ok heres the scoupe ive been driving my 85 e30 one with all m3 mods ect .anyway i need to know if anyone has had this problem and if there is away to fix this or if my tranny is shot .when you try to put it into reverse the shift lever hits the side of the center console seems like revers is way to far over to the left when you get it over it goes right in and stays no problem with it coming out of gear .second problem it goes thru all the gears like butter and stays in to all gears no grinding nothing .just that even when in gear the shift lever just flops around very sloppy is it new tranny time or is there a shift link bushing that may be out or somthing ? trannys are not my thing at all any feed back would help

I have been busy with work so I missed this, I would try the bushings for the slop problem. As far as reverse goes I hit the side of my console every time.

It's not fun to change, I did my SSK and it became a major pain to reach and get up in that area with the car on a lift. On another note, are you still selling your MSD 6al?? Sent you a PM but no answer.
