need tires

finally getting new tires. the shitty sumoitomo's that came when i bought this car are crap and i cant take it anymore.

i was looking at going +1 sizing, so 205 60-14, but this are hard to come across. on top of that, i really like the bridgestone potenza G009, but apparently they arent making those anymore.

any tire recommendations in 195 65-14 or 205 60-14? my local tire place only has bfgoodrich traction T/A's in 205. anyone ever tried those? i need something all season, mostly performance all season

why dont you go to a 195/60/14 size and you can get the potenza 009 from tire rack, 68 bux, thats what i did on my 91.

as long as i remember driving the car, has always been with 195/60/14's.

i would do that, but apparently bridgestone stopped making the tire. besides, i want my extra 4cm of contact patch.

Not many choices in that +1 size. But the Traction TA's seem to have a decent score on Tire Rack. At $64ea, sounds like a good deal.

New Shoes

Have them on a 1988 735i manual transmission machine and they work fine.

i have 8 wheels(thanks to dudesky) so in the summer i run 17's and in the winter i run snows in the back and those traction t/a's in the front(got em w/the car), they are 205/65/15 i think, but i couldnt tell you how good they are because i dont drive my car that hard in the winter, but havent had a ny problems with them yet(and they are on the front, not the back anyway)
