Unhappy In the shop :(

Well... my car had to be towed to the mechanic today. Luckily I already had an appointment scheduled for tomorrow morning because of a noise it had been making, otherwise it would be about a two week wait. Yesterday when I was driving home I was down shifting and going from 3rd to 2nd I couldn't get it to go into any gear. It was at a light anyways so I stopped and sat there for a minute trying to get it to go into 1st but it wouldn't. When it finally did the car wouldn't move. Then it did but it started to go then stopped and did that a couple times. After I got going again I was slowing down to turn onto our road and it did it again. So I called them to see if I could drop it off this afternoon. I got it towed and I am going to be without a car for a little while. It will probably be Friday before I really know anything, but hopefully it won't cost too much. I know my mom said for 2k she will just fix it, but I don't know if it goes over that. What really sucks though is that I have to go to school and have no way of getting there and getting home...Also handing out candy to brats is annoying and boring.

Edit: Forgot to mention the AMAZING car that was there parked in front. I have no clue what it was other then an old 2 door bmw. OMG it was so pretty.

The mechanic just called my mom. It's not looking good. So far he is suspecting that the transmission needs replaced. (1200-1500 used) There going to spend an hour tomorrow and see what else they find.

I have a quick question. Is the transmission on the 325i the same as a 325e?

is this guy trustworthy? i seriously doubt all of a sudden a manual transmission will just crap out, usually the synchros go, and before that they start making funny sounds, and they dont all go at once, usually 1st gear, then 2nd.. etc etc
