E30 will be for sale...
yup. its time. Im very very sad to have to say it but im going to sell the 318.
Basically it costs too much to maintain two cars. E30 is starting to have more and more problems, and well i cant deal with them next to school. (i have one free day a week..for homework) I dont see myself having any extra time anytime in the future.
Turning her into a project car...well too much money, and as much as i would love to do it, its not practical. Ild much rather spend 6 grand as a down payment for a new car down the line. Plus, well nothing against my E30, but my E46 handles better(if you turn DSC and TCS off the car feels the same on the road as my 318), is a safer car, gets about the same gas mileage, has less mileage, and is ten years younger. So even if i commute with it, it will hold up better then my E30.
The idea to park it in the garage and put it on non opp crossed my mind, but its just going to be sitting there, and i dont know if i can take that.
Not sure on the price yet, but ill end up posting it on bimmerforums and dtm cause they have a lot of bay area users.

Sometimes we have to do stuff we don't like, but it's good you're thinking practically. You can always get an E30 later down the line if you wanted to................. Anyway, your later model Bimmer is cool!

Does anyone know what might be going on with it? I'd love an E30, especially one owned by an enthusiast but I can't buy something I can't fix(if your final decision is to sell it that is).

^+1, don't sell it to someone who isn't an enthusiast if you don't have to.

Good luck with finding it a new home, you gotta do what you gotta do if I didn't already have one I would seriously consider it.
