E21, E30General discussion and technical help for 1975-1991 3 series cars.
So i just replaced my thermostat and thermostat housing. I have hot heater hoses until they go under the intake manifold. Going to the heater core (firewall) the hoses are cold. It's getting to be 30's here in Utah and i need heat. No heat, No dates! I need this fixed STAT! What is under the manifold that takes my heat away? BTW, i have an E30 325E
bleed your radiator, there is air in your system, make sure when you bleed it the heater is on full blast so the coolant can circulate through the heater-core

Hi Try this-
Engine running
Heater controls set to hot
Header cap off
Keep squeezing all water pipes watching for air bubbles
Top up coolant as required
When satisfied no air put header cap back on
Release bleed valve on thermostat housing and check that no air and only coolant is coming out .
It worked for me.
is the pic already uploaded to a place on the internet? Else, click the "file manager" button (the button next to "wallpapers") and upload it there. Then just type after the picture. If you still have problems, send me a PM.
Ok... so i Put a heat gun to my Hoses going in and out of my firewall. The temp drops ALOT from the time it goes in, 160 somethin, to the time it comes out, 120 somethin. Bad heater core/ heater controle valve?
