70/50 drop!
Hey there, I'm thinking of a 70/50 drop on the touring
I wanted 60/40, but couldn't find anyone to send to France, and couldn't find a kit here in France!
In the end I was offered the above kit from Germany. I'm hoping it won't be too low to be practical.............any ideas before I consider ordering ?

move to germany? heh, good luck! the only reason i dont want to lower my car is because it already rides like crap, and low profile tires didnt help, so every time i go over a bump or a rough road i feel like im shattering my car into pieces

xsperf, I thought your BM was lowered? It certainly looks low...........
Are BMW parts a good price in the USA? I guess you guys also use the breakers and ebay for parts?

GT, a 70/40 drop is way too much
trust me, I did a 40/40 drop on my touring and in my opinion the best is a 50/40 or 40/30
the rear must be higher than the front because else the rear wheel arches look crappy (my sig )
I bought the Eibach Pro Kit, was quite affordable

You may wanna look into the wheel angle changes with semi trailing arm rear suspension.

my car is not lowered, not that i know of, funny because i have been under it so many times but i never even thought to look at the suspension, although i do know it is black, meaning not yellow or red like bilstein or eibach

I would not do a 70/50 unless your kidneys have a lot of cushion. I'm running a 60/40 and had to use bumpstops because I was bottoming out on both front and back. I've seen tourings here with 60/40 and they look great.

Think you're all right, will refrain from a 70/50 drop. I want the car to still look classy, yet more 'aggressive' at the same time. I think 60/40 will give me a happy compromise. Will just get the kit sent to the UK and forwarded on to me here.
