Front strut brace - Please Help!
I purchased a strut brace and after fitting the mountings to the suspension housing, am having trouble fitting the bar itself! I can fit one side, but then the other is about .5'' too long and no amount of straining will put it into place.
It is definitely the one for my car as it's marked on the box, the company that made it confirmed this, and others have purchased the same bar and fitted theirs.
Any ideas? Someone suggested jacking up the car to take the strain for the suspension legs...
Any help/ideas very gratefully accepted.

Jacking the car, I don't have one of these but I have hear from others that jacking it can align the bar so you can get it bolted down it seems to be a common procedure at least with the e30. I also don't remember if its just the 318is or the whole e30 family there are some with slightly different distances from center of the shock towers i think it depended on build date but i'm not 100% sure.

Yeah, jack the car, if that doesn't work undo the mountings on one side and then refit them with the bar in place it they fit.

You're welcome, Dude.
Got the strut fitted at last! It took three of us, one trolley jack gave up its life thanks to my over enthusiasm, but the final result was worth it! She feels 'tighter' to drive, too.
