Antenna problem
my rear fishing poll as i refer to the OEM antenna is not moving, it is always up, i turn on/off the stereo i hear no movement on the back, should i check the connections behind the stereo, what should i look for on the antenna.
i want to do the z3 antenna base replacement but i can't find used antenna base around town, new one is $100!!!

Im guessing the motor for the antenna is shot. Might want to pull the carpeting out from the back and make sure the connections are all good, also check the fuses. more then likely its shot, there are some diys on the z anntenna base but i dont recall pricing, that less than a replacement motor.

if your motor isnt shot, try replacing the antenna mast. the mast has a nylon pull (some with teeth, some without) and sometimes that can be broken.
it was the fuse, thanks man, once i changed it, turned the stereo on, the antenna moved just a bit, i can hear the motor running but the antenna wouldn't go down, i pushed it down myself and unplugged the power to the antenna, that should do it for now, no more fishing pole sticking out . thanks
i had the same problem with mine. turned out the mast was dirty and seied. So...just get a new mast. Itllmove p and down like new.
