work to do

sometime last year i noticed that my exhaust hangers were pretty much rusted away. i bought a exhaust hanger kit from bav auto to just rehang the current exhaust.

well, that proved hard as hell because the exhaust system was still in place. working around it was a bitch and didnt end well.

yesterday, i went over a speed bump and one broke and the other one somehow popped off. on top of that, my exhaust has had a hole in it for awhile.

then, my brake lining light goes off. add new pads to the list.

so i just ordered $325 worth of parts from bav auto. pagid front brake pads, new brake pad sensors front and rear, and a new oem exhaust.

I was looking for an ansa exhaust, and found a nice ansa sport at bimmerparts.com for only $187, but just got it from bav auto since i had to get other stuff from there.

regardless, lots of parts coming in.

anyway, any one have any experience with pagid brake pads? thoughts on ansa exhausts (oem or sport)?

^^^ that was where i was going to get it at first, but it is an OEM ansa exhaust. at bimmerparts.com, they had an ansa sport for $187.

i guess i was just looking for someone to say that i didnt make a mistake in getting a stock exhaust instead of that ansa sport. . .

I have a Bosal exhaust... don't know if it's sold in the US, but I have to say this thing is even more silent than my old, rusted OEM one... (before the old one had those nasty holes in it)
so I guess you don't have to go for OEM parts, but if you like it a little bit louder better spend some money on real quality...
if I would buy a really good exhaust I'd be ready to spend about 400 for a Supersport one...

bavauto is a bit pricey, but good luck! I have heard about pagid pads being decent. How far are you Jersey guys from Camden/Cherry Hill area? I was at a meet down there 2 sundays ago.

I use mintex breaks on my E30, no complains, the front due make the wheels dusty, but it's breaks after all.

there is a bosal OEM muffler i came across on the net, they list the ANSA sport as well. i read somewhere people are not too happy with the ANSA, but i forget if it's the OEM or sports, i guess you will find out 1st hand, good luck

I think i just put a set of pagids on my car last weekend, so far so good, the oem quality pad really is pretty decent. +1 for supersprint I love mine.
