I'd start with the fuel pump. How old is the ignition system?

Check to see if you have the following;

1. Fuel going to the rail
2. Spark at the plugs and wires (it will give you the jolt of your life if you're not careful)
3. Pop your distributor open and check both the rotor and the distributor for wear and tear.
4. Loose, frayed, or dry rotted hoses, vacuum lines, etc.

If I think of more I'll let you know. Good luck.

do you hear any combustion at all or is it just something spinning freely, and did you just get this car and its not starting, or have you been driving it and all of a sudden one day its not starting(i would suspect fuel pump relay in that case)

Do you consider the computer as part of the ignition system because I'm not getting any fire to the plugs?
