Being cynical doesn't accomplish anything. I HAVE USED GOOGLE, I HAVE USED YAHOO, I HAVE SEARCHED E-BAY, I have looked at every stupid site that suppowedly offers parts for BMW. You know what? It is all shit that I do not need or want. No I am not Stupid. I have rebuilt and restored enough American and British cars TO THEIR ORIGINAL STATUS, to know what and where to look for parts. This is my first German.

In response to the Antennea comment, I figured it out. If you can figure out Lucas electronics, you can figure anything out. And the radio wasn't stock.. The car I am working on was hacked up by the previous owner. GUESS WHAT?? Wiring colors don't match any Bently Auto Shop manuals after this hack got done with it. Nice try.

Nick 318i, Mini tires do work, I have them on my car right now. You weren't answering a question of mine either, just commenting on some help I was trying to give someone else.

This whole supposed Knowledge Base" that keeps getting mentioned, I am not sure if that is a seperate page, or what it is. I have done searches, and found nothing on this site. The reason I am registered still? No one has kicked me off.

Via Condios, and I suppose if things had gone as originally planned, my Jaguar would have been a domestic car.

The Knowledge Base is located on the home page (3rd topic down on top left) and it's filled with hundreds of DIYs, experiences, tips & links from a vast # of members. So before you get your panties ruffled and go off like a loose cannon on members - try getting used to the format here & the members. They'll help you and answer your questions as best they can, without guessing or "possibilities". Many don't reply when they're not sure. So maybe you might sit back & enjoy the ride, if not then it's a personal problem...

E36 and E46 are all that come up in the "knowledge base". Earliest is 92. My car is an E30 and it is a 1985. This does not help me what so ever. Again, I was a member of a Diesel forum, helped out a lot. Member of a Triumph site, MG, Chevy, all of which were helpful. More so in the "Classic" side. This seems to be more in the newer Bimmers, which appears to have no knowledge of older cars.

Done and done. Take all the cheap shots you want about me or my comments. I find it amusing that no one responded to my RECENT posts until I stirred things up. Thanks to those who helped me out two/ three months ago.

I agree, there are less E30 threads than E36/46, but you'll find the same situation on every other BMW forum you visit. That's because more E36s and 46s are currently on the road than any other production. Ya know, most people will simply take their leave once they find this site is not helpful to them. Why do you feel the need to insult us by creating this thread in the first place? You're the one who started all this, not us.

This is a car club, not a one stop shop technician's help desk. All that's required here is a passion for the Marque. Nowhere does it say that you have to be well versed in BMW mechanics to join. Otherwise, you obviously would not have made the cut. If you really went through the site like you say you did, you would have found that a good many of us will actually take the time to go out on other forums or on the net to help research answers. Had you not done what you did, I or someone else would have given it a try. But now instead of getting answers, you're stuck in this stupid silly battle you started.

Most people who are on forums will simply click on the "New Posts" link, to find the latest threads. If your thread is older, it has lesser chances of being seen by the right person who can help. Instead of pissing off people, all you had to do was bump your thread(s) so they can appear again. If you really were on all those other car forums you mentioned, you would know this is not how to behave. Best of luck on the other BMW sites- with that attitude, they'll tear your ass apart even worse than we did.

But it seems to me all you wanna do is show off your penis. Just make sure you put it back in your panties before you leave. And don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Then quit complaining. What did you expect? People to stay idly by hearing you talk smack about them without expecting some kind of response? In fact, since you have such energy and hidden desire (plus time to waste smashing others without knowing), why don't you contribute to helping start a E30 knowledge base with the things you have done that have made life easier for you to work on your E30. If not, then shut up and don't come back.

Mine have been in the process since my new projects began, but when I have time to finish with pics and slides with detailed instructions after they have been proven safe (I don't and will never believe in giving someone half ass info), then I will ask Komodo to see if he can make an e30 knowledge base for all to enjoy from others experiences.

On a couple of side notes, you told nick that Mini tires work on an E30, remember one thing when they fail (FWD vs RWD). And since you have built so many cars, you should know that too.

C1, he looks great on that windshield. Is that take off or landing ?

I have had every single one of my questions answered. I've had people send me physical materials (thanks again for the
manual :-D). What I can say is this - nobody will be willing to help you with the funky attitude you are exhibiting. You may very well be burning bridges to an entire online resource. You may retort by saying that it is a useless resource, but I find that to be a sham. If you really thought it was a dead resource, you wouldn't bother trying to 'stir things up' to get a response to your queries. You must know that people have some information that may be of value to you, or else you wouldn't be doing what you are trying to do.

If I were the mod, I'd expect an apology or I'd ban you. You can't walk into Macy's, start having a temper tantrum, call their staff names, and expect them to allow you to remain in the store.

....Damn I'm hard core.

jeez 1985 325E, you don't do yourself any favours dude, a little patience and courtesy go a long way in this life, as stated quite a few times in this thread, if you had bumped your threads there are quite a number of us, myself included who would go out of their way to help you with your queries. But to start a thread telling everyone how useless they are is plain stupid, you aren't gonna get help that way.
As above,...don't let the door hit you on the way out!

No idea where it was moved to. And again, no help from anyone.

Thanks for a lot of nothing.
