new stuff for my baby
I just ordered a Bentley manual, a euro front plate, the stuff to replace the chrome around the windshield and back window with black, and a new piece of side trim to replace the one that is smashed. I am also going to get tint on all of the windows. The manual, plate, side trim, and the black clips for the window stuff should be here this Friday. The other stuff is on backorder though... So it might still be another month or so before my car looks like she should but at least it has finally been put into motion. I can't wait until I get this stuff and my tint. Pictures will come as I get the stuff. Does any one else get a new sense of pride in their car when they get new stuff for it?

Shit, I felt really proud when I got new roundels for the wheels, hood and truck. Not to mention all the other crap I've done to my car.

^^I need some thing better then the Chilton thing that came with the car. It has every BMW from eighty something though 92 I think. What is so bad about buying it?
edit: Thinking about the wheel roundels.. Is it possible for me to change the ATS logos on the wheels to bmw ones? That is another thing I have been thinking about doing but I have no clue how to do it or where to buy the ones for wheels.

you can always find roundels that you can apply over an aftermarket centercap. i had to do that with my old winter wheels b/c they didnt take a standard BMW size centercap

Where did you get them? I have not seen any when I have looked..
I didn't get the shadow line trim for the side windows.. If I do that I will probably paint them myself, but what I got is just the stuff that goes around the windshield and rear window to replace the rusted out chrome. I had another thread about that somewhere...but I am too lazy to get a link.

There is nothing wrong with buying a Bentley manual. The books are nice to have.
Do the shadow line trim.

@drtye 30, do a search on ebay, I typed "bmw wheel centres" and got quite a few results.

i was just looking at that shadowline that i did. still looks good cept where rocks and stuff have hit it
as for painting the windshield and rear window chrome, i have heard that its not a good idea for the windshield. with crap like rocks hitting it, it will start chipping like the front of your hood. i know this is true now, because the only place where my is chipping is the front part of my chrome.
sides and rear are fine though.

I'm not painting the front and rear I bought the stuff to replace that, but I think I probably will paint the sides. Thanks stevo.
