I just got the car and repaired the clutch hydraulics. T he clutch works fine but cant get the shifter to work sometimes goes into gear it acts like the shift lever is sloppy

welcome. not sure excatly what is going on here, but on a car that old its quite possible that the bushings are just worn out. mine was like incredibly sloppy (almost as much give in gear as in neutral) but i just put a shortshifter in it and replaced the bushings. getting it back in about 3 hrs. can't wait! and good luck finding out what is wrong.
