Door locks stopped working

Left my car parked for a while and the door locks do not work. The battery died and I had to jump it. Did that blow a fuse? Cannot find one anywhere.

It's a 1990 325 convertible.

Thanks for the input.

Mark

I'm assuming that your doors are electrically locked and not manual?

Anyway, here's a diagram of all the fuses in your car:

I got it from here:
E30 Performance

Looks to be that locking is under fuse #27, it's a 30 amp.

Oh, and the fuse box is driver's side, near the firewall, in case that's what you meant when you couldn't find it.

Thanks for the diagram. I will check the fuse first. I was told a while back there is a wire above the passenger side speaker in the kick panel that gets tripped when you jump the car?? This will cause the locking actuator not to work. Any truth to that?

Well, the fuse is fine. If anyone has other suggestions, let me know.

Thanks!

mine don't work like they should, but you can lock/unlock them from the trunk.

None of mine work right now at least the power function. There are a couple places to look. You can check the unit in the trunk, there is also a small box under the drivers side front speaker, remove it and there are reports that a connection breaks and you can solder it back together and your back in business. I still have not had a chance to try it though.

Door Locks

I had issues with a 1990 325ic and ended up replacing (from salvage) the central lock controller and driver door lock solenoid ) about $100 total, and all is now well.
