Exterior chrome trim?

Ok the exterior metal trim on my 1991 325i basically was falling off and my dad ripped it off (and bent it) to solve the problem awhile ago....

Now I'm stuck without trim and I haven't found a good place to buy replacement trim. Does anyone know a good site or have some extra laying around??

I've found every piece of molding for the car except that chrome piece that goes around the windows... I'm probably looking in the wrong section or something because it seems odd that they sell everything but those. What are they called exactly other than chrome trim around the windows?

It's called Chrome Line. If it's black, then it's called Shadow Line. But I have never seen it sold anywhere. The dealer's parts counter might be your only bet, or maybe search the internet for those keywords.

I checked on pelican parts and I think I was mistaken I do not see them, might check a local salvage yard.

Contact your dealer or Bav auto and it's listed under "glazing" - I'm on the road or I'd get you the part #s. It is available in chrome and/or black. (note the later models only offered it in black but the earlier chrome version will work)

Ah cool great info guys. Personally I think it looks fine without it but the thing is it holds other parts down which are now working their way out. Here is a link to some older pics http://picasaweb.google.com/exilionprime/TheBMW

There really isn't a dealer near by because we bought it used. But there are a ton of e30's in my area and I'm sure there are a few in the junkyards.
