ohh ya and think the sport seats in all E30 convertable's are the sport style seats but they are also the same in the M3's which theirs a difference in stitching =)

i hate to say it, but you could sell that dash for a few hundred (more than the car is probably worth as a whole in that shape). then you could part out the rest of the car. with 6 grand coming in and money from parts, spend the 3 grand you wanted to put into this one and buy a much nicer E30 (maybe one from 89-91 so you don't get stuck with the diving board bumpers) in full working condition. Mine was about $3500 and has a spotless interior and few cosmetic flaws.
again, i hate to even suggest selling a bimmer for parts, but at this rate its not worth putting 3 grand into. just my opinion.
I hate todo this but, I have to agree if you are going to spend $3000 you can find a much better car, I have seen some good cars going at a cheap rate, a 318is the other day go for $2400 on another site and it looked imaculate, that would leave you with $600 for basic maintence items that you should do. Why not just get something in better shape? There are a lot of decent e30s out there going for prices between $1000-2500, maybe look for one of those. I dont know if you just want a project or what but IMO spending the 3k on a decent car would get you a lot farther a lot faster.
Those look like euro elipsolids, you can find people who will sell you a set for $300 with euro grills.

For post 15: Those are the European lights. The little smiley openings are for the lights on but headlights off, like parking lights. They look really cool when they're on

man... i was kinda hoping they were alot cheaper than angel eyes lol in that case i would prolly go with angel eyes
i do like the whole black out idea though blacking out the two inner, with a blacked out grill lol, kinda skeptical about it though, if i did would it even pass inspection like that? :\
what product do most people use to black them out?

my work here is done
i like the car except for the worn seats (but you said you could get some, right?) and the cracked dash, but like i said before - an uncracked one is REALLY rare. plus there are places that sell dash covers that look fairly nice.
i say go for it (i'm a sucker for black on black, too )

3100 hundred still seems a little high for it, although it does look to have a good body. How many miles are on it and are there service records available? Craked dash and seats are minuses in my book as well although they exsist on many of these cars but not all. Also looks like the exhaust could use a new hanger or something, Is there any rust? I would say 2500 seems like a fair price for the car its not in top shape but not at all bad, however I haven't actually seen it in person so i can only judge what i see in the pictures.
If you get it you need to drop it and get an iS lip on there at the minimum.

if it was just a 325i, i would agree. but with it being a 325iS (when i was looking all i could find was a 318iS) and with the body looking so good (i'm liking the pinstripe), i would say try to get it to $3000. could you do a dash swap swap with your uncracked one? even better.

^But the 318is (90-91 year) is awsome you dont understand!
With some more info like miles year and stuff I could give a better estimate, right now i would say the most you should pay for that is 2800, i dont think it should go for any more then that. Its all a matter of how bad he really wants/needs to get rid of it, if there aren't any other bites he would be more willing if they are he will give you the finger and then some other dude will get the car at a price of more then its worth. For 3k you can find a car with a better interior and a non cracked dash, i will keep my eyes open for a nice e30 in your price range, you only interested in the 325is and no 318is?

Its been in the family since it was new(been riding in this car for almost 17 years and im only 22), i got it for a deal ($1) from my dad. This summer it is being retired from daily driver use but will still see plenty of time. I have had plenty of people who know e30s tell me that its one of the nicest they have seen and people constantly compliment it, its a great little car.
