E21, E30General discussion and technical help for 1975-1991 3 series cars.
^^^Yes, but that doesn't mean the driveline & transmission are intact. Check those out first to see how much of a restoration project this will be. Unless your people are going to try and bend everything back (not a good idea), you'll need a donor car for parts, to say the least. The only major parts you can buy are the bumper, harnesses and lights, and the trunk lid. Everything else needs to be cut off another car and welded on. not to mention the rear suspension. E30's don't cost that much, and you might find the cost of repairing this one could be more than buying another car in running condition.
Witey is correct, neither the E30 nor the E36 have frames, they're unibody construction. I think the E46 is the same as well. That definitely would be considered totalled, as celsdogg can tell you. His rear wasn't anything close to that when it was hit, and it was written off. Labor may be cheap there, but you'll need to make sure they do the job right.
i took one look at this thread and couldnt comment.

Hi dudesky, well let me tell you here in Guatemala that car is running around $4,000.00 in good condition, before I got into this I was looking and all the ones I found, were really dirty inside and out, the engine had troubles, suspension was bad, interior was very bad, and this one besides that crash looks very good inside and enginewise. I found a guy that sells me the whole back at $200.00 plus I need to buy the taillights and bumper, hopefully I can have that car running again at a cost of $2,600.00. When its finished I will post pics and the whole story on the project. but i need badly a place to find cheap lights and a bumper
Ahh, so you have done homework, my bad. I sent you a link in the other thread. Vines is pretty good with pricing and shipping, but I don't know if that'll help you out in Guatemala. Definitely take pics as the job is getting done- this will be pretty interesting!
See if you can find parts in El Salvador. They have been importing BMWs at a very good rate for a long time. Also, try to get in touch with these people: http://www.vinesauto.com/ -- They are pretty mcuh a junk yard that carries just about any BMW body panel you may need.
I see that you have found a rear end. Lights and bumper shouldn't be hard to get. www.jlevisw.com can sell you lights internationally for a good price, I believe.
You can always find sellers that ship internationally on eBay -- just make sure they are reliable.
