Heater Fan Replacement

So here it is, 0 to -3 degree's in the Chicago land area, and my 1985 325E decides for the heater/ AC fan to sieze up. The question I am needing to get answered, is where is this located and how can I get it removed to replace the thing? I thought I could get at it through the dash, but I am not finding it. ANY information would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Chances are the blower motor is dead center of the car, right under the dash, on the outside of the firewall. you've probably got a removable cover under your wipers... pull that and you should see the blower motor cover. My local dealership told me I had to pull the dash and the entire heater core assembly to get the blower motor out, but I found with a little coersion and effort (not to mention patience) I got it out through the front instead of pulling everything apart. I'm sure you can do the same if yours is setup like that.
