E39 high beam problem.
 

Anyone know why my o/s high beam wont go out? even when the
ignition is turned off and the key is removed.

what is a o/s??

My first and only thought... it might be constantly connected to power. Check the route of the wires. :dunno

i had this problem before. there is a relay switch in the fuse box which gets stuck each time u turn ur high beam on. when the high beam is stuck, look for that relay switch and take it off and put it back it should work fine. but anywayz, it has to be changed.

hi.this problem has just happened to my 1997 525se.took it to my indie to look at and have been told it,s the lcm unit(light control module).got to go to main dealers for part as they have to programe it to your car.ring them tomorrow.it is,nt going to be cheap.about £250.00 for the part,about hour and half labour and whatever it costs to programme it.ouch.

how can I disconnect my highbeams on an e39 until I have time to fix them properly? They fade off and on when the switch wand is in the off position.
