Brake light circuit problem
I Keep getting the message " Brake LT Circuit" on the check control display. None of my brake lights work, i have consulted my manual, and ruled out it being a fuse or bulb problem. If anyone has any suggestions or help please let me know, thanks.

thanks for the help, i noticed that when the brake pedal is applied about halfway, the switch disengages, is it something that i can fix myself or should i have it serviced?

You should be able to get a new switch and just replace it... I'd pull the switch and check it with a multimeter to ensure it's bad. I thought mine had gone out and it turned out the wiring was just disconnected (though it looked to be on there). Check wiring, if it's good pull the switch and check, replace if needed.
It's a simple & cheap fix. Just drop the lower panel (above pedals) and you'll see it attatched to the upper arm of the brake pedal. It has a 4 wire plug on it and takes about 10 mins to change. It was a really common problem on all E34s, there were multiple recalls on the brake light switch.
