the rear end damage is almost as the same as my last E30 when it get rear ended

From what I've read on other forums the crankshafts from the diesels are highly sought after for performance M20s.
They are forged and I think they have a different stroke.

There might be some other engine parts from it that are desireable as well like the entire turbo system.
