540 Dinan Chip Question - Are there issues

I'm considering buying a 2003 540 with the dinan chip.

Any history with this causing additional maintenance issues?

Dinan is a very well respected tuner for BMW. I don't even think that it will void your warranty when installed by an approved technician, not that it's hard anyways.

i think dinan mods are approved by bmw.

The Dinan chip in mine has been in for years, still running like a champ.
