driver side power seat

So my seat had a noticable slant to it the last couple of weeks, (the back rest) I dont know when it happened exactly, alll I know is that it was starting to hurt my back. So yesterday I started to take the seat apart from the back of the basckrest, and noticed that one of the pins on the bar for the lumbar support was out of its position. I fixed that, but the back rest is still tilted a little. I left my camera at work so I couldnt take any pics today, but if anyone has had this problem, do you know if I have to take the entire seat out. It seems to me that every problem Ive had with this car is a common one.

Thanks in advance.

Oh and I suspect that Clapton or devinwwu will be among the first to reply, you know, since you 2 are e34 gods.

lol... sorry no god here (just alot of research & experience) Re seat. I've never had the issue but read that the adjusting cables are the root of the dreaded front seat lean. I'll see if I can get ya a diagram and/or more info. check out #s 4 & 5 (pic from RealOEM) I think it would be easier if seat was out IMO

^^^^^^^^^ try this, I dont know if the sport seats are much different than the regular's, but Im sure the idea is the same. Its pretty easy to fix, just be very careful when removing the seat.
