HELP speedometer problem

like the title says my whole electrical system and speedometer/tack it messed up. they are all in different modes ie. kilometers and different tempurature readings. my speedo is stuck as well as my tack, gas, and other things. my car is a 97 528i. please tell me how i can fix this.

Try disconnecting battery (have yor radio code handy) for 2 minutes, then reconnect and start car. Then let us know results (if anything) There is a method for this madness

Your Ride: 92 525, 88 325 hardtop'ed vert and 83 320iS
Worst case scenerio, you might need an instument cluster. Ide do the battery reset first but more then likely your cluster took a dump on you. Also you wont need a battery code your your year/model, so dont go crazy looking for one.
