I'm a 5 Series owner now
Picked up an E34 Touring about a week ago or so. I'm really happy with the car, and already got the mod bug working overtime right now. I just gotta get my daughters car finished first.
Here's what it looks like right now: http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...Touring006.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...Touring018.jpg And here's something along the lines of what I want to head towards: http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/9...018copy6li.jpg P-Chop courtesy of Wayfast at www.tehdriven.com Any ideas for other mods, or best places to get body mods and performance parts? |
I like the 2nd pic much better, wheels make a difference. :thumbup
Who's e46 is that in the background of the 1st pic? :dunno |
Congratz! Great looking car :shades

Right. e36, cool. :p |
The blue one is my sons, and the beige one is going to be my daughters. Hers will be put together once I get tires for her rims, and a bit of time in the booth to spray the parts I have for it.

I don't know about those rims in the p'chopped pic, looks too low rider-ish to me. But that's just me ;)

Nice 5er and welcome to the club, bro! As you can see here, I'm rolling in the E60 5 series and loving it too. You might want to shop around at Dinan for some proven and reliable performance parts. I've only had my Dinan mods for a couple of months now, but heard nothing but stellar things about their overall reliability, performance gains and warranty backing on their product line. A solid, well earned reputation with over 26 years of tuning experience in N.A. Again, enjoy and welcome! BEST REGARDS |
Congrats on the fiver. I agree with Gold Panda, I like the dinan mods for engine. But for suspension and wheels, there are a ton of great companies. Is your touring a 525it or a 540i? Is is an automatic or manual? You can make your touring a sleeper for sure.

Nice photochop skills ;)

Your "T" needs window tint badly...:shades (lots of possibilities for mods)

Well, I'm not gonna quote everyone, but I'll try to answer all of them.
Dudesky, yeah, the rims are big, but it's just a p-chop. I'm leaning towards ACS Type IIs in 19". We'll see when I get to the point of purchase, but I love the classic look of them. Dinan540 & Gold Panda: Thanks for the Dinan tip. I haven't seen much for performance mods for the E34. Suspension isn't a problem, but stuff like CAIs seem non-existent. I've heard the ECIS/AA CAI for E36s will fit with a little modding, though. The car is a 525iT, with auto. I might do a manual conversion in the future, if it needs it (which it will, eventually). c1apton: Tint is one of the first mods on my list. Everyone: Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it. Here's the mods I'm thinking of doing: GC coilover kit w/Konis Blackout grill, and shadowline trim Euro bumper trim exhaust and CAI 19" ACS Type IIs tint stereo Colormatch lower sections Either a different front bumper, or possibly a lip. I'd like to find an ACS front bumper, but they're like Unicorns nowadays. |
Congrats on the new ride!

BMWLotAttendant, you noob. It's obviously an e36 m3 lookalike (I didn't see the vaders)
