auto 2 manual trans swap
i have a 1991 525i bmw. Im in the prosses of swapping from a auto to a manual transmission, i got everything swapped out and functional. Except that i need some help with the wiring converstion. the car wont start and says that there is a trans program problem. can anyone give me some help?
You will need to use the CarSoft software to tell the ECU that its now a manual transmission insteal of a manual. The computer believes the car is still an Auto, and this will cause problems.
