What do you guys think of it? Not sure if its auto or manual but can someone take a look at the accessories and figure out if it has the sports package or not (guessing sports package = manual trans)
Mother of god! This car is 6 speed and comes with 2 sets of wheels, sport and the stock ones... shit I want it bad now. THey also said they could refinance the loan that I already had and deal with things .... haha.. What do you guys think about the mileage and all?
Ehh, IMO I don't think 102k is too high, considering it's a V8. The price is not bad either. In comparison, I've been looking at a '99 528i with 75k for $14k. I would at least go check it out.

Walk around....
Damage
Scratches (including wheels)
Dents (in doors, bumper, etc.)
Rock chips in the hood front (hood area)
Check for windshield chips/stars?
Other:
Last oil change
Last change of belts, seals, fluids, etc.
Last tire change (Tire tread life)
Look at the histroy (they'll show you)
Ask about anything major, or whatever concerns you
Post some pics (inside/outside/under the hood). I'd LOVE to see it.

Sports package can have either manual or automatic.
The sport wheels come in 17s or 18s. Not 16s. Unless those are the other wheels you are talking about.
Annnnnnd
They would be proud of the Sport package. It would clearly say...."M" Sport Wheels, Sport Steering Wheel, "M" Shift Knob, Sport Front and Rear Bumpers, and Sport Seats,
Another way in saying the same thing: The M-sport package really highlights the magnificent performance of this car. 17” M-sport performance wheels, M-sport 3-spoke steering wheel and M-sport shifter.
Another thing.
Woudn't you be down grading as far as body changes? I know the 2001 would be alot better than a 1999 540i. Buuut, having a 540i is the toss up.
the 2001 540i s are a bit out of the range as far as price goes. Since my 530 is financed I am hoping that I can get the 540 without having to pay for it after my trade-in (not sure how it will work out). Why do you say 2001 540is are better than the 1999? Looking at the specs they have the same engine.
and salespeople are sometimes clueless b/c they forgot to mention whether its an auto or manual trans . they said they had the sport wheels (i will check for the ///M logos) so I am sure its not 16". I will def. check it out tomorrow.
edit: what I am interested is whether keeping the 01 530 is better than the 99 540. And also if there are differences between 01 540 and 99 540..
