Your Dinan Mods - Feedback Please

United Bimmer Members:

Just curious to hear from those with Dinan Tuned BMW's what they think about their overall performance enhancements. Also, particularly interested in learning about their overall reliability since you've made the decision to go the Dinan Tuned route. Any feedback greatly appreciated. As for myself, I recently undergone some significant Dinan upgrades (see mods list) and the performance has definitely gone up a significant notch or two, yet remains very civil and refined, the typical BMW way. Still, it's only been about a month now. So far, so good in terms of equipment reliability. BEST REGARDS!

My car has a chip (it was done before I was driving the car) and I had dinan suspension work done last summer, i am satisfied with them so far. I want it to get warm and be able to autox the car or do some more Drivers Schools.

On my M3, I have a Dinan chip, Dinan CAI, Dinan FTSB, and had Dinan suspension (for 10pts and badge), but the suspension was recently upgraded to bilsteins and h&r race springs.

On my 328, I just have a Dinan CAI and Dinan FTSB.

I personally love dinan. Other companies give more performance for less money, but there's something about the Dinan vibe that's addicting and somehow justifies the money.

I feel that other companies have better offerings at cheaper prices. Mostly at cheaper prices.

I am kind acurious about this as well, money is precious, so do other 3rd party products offer the same performance. I can live w/o the brand name package if performance is more or less the same using products other than Dinan. Personally, IMHO, people go with Dinan for the same reason they go with BMW, its the name that distinguishes it.

Thanks for the feedback here! I couldn't agree with you more also. Could have easily gone with other aftermarket tuner shops and their wares, but opted for the well earned and respected industry name of Dinan. While they're definitely not cheap, like anything else, you pay a premium for the extensive R&D, quality, innovation and proven performance results.

For me, warranty issues were a concern too, since I'm still on my original BMW seven (7) year extended service warranty on my E60 5er. It was great to learn that Dinan was backing me on their full suite of equipment with a similar well backed warranty, should anything go wrong. How can you go wrong?? Solid performance improvement, yet its' fully backed by Dinan engineering. ENJOY!!!

Lets see some new pics of your car. I have the Dinan CAI, HFTB, Flow meter, clutch assembly and lightweight flywheel, strut bars and stage 4 software. I cannot believe the difference from stock. My car now is pushing around 315 HP. Their products are well engineered and perform well. I have had my dinan stuff for 30,000 miles and haven't had any problems.

There is something to say about Dinan outsourcing some of their products to 3rd parties and putting their name on it and jacking the price up 3X.

Thanks for the feedback here! Sounds like you're pretty happy with your Dinan mods, particularly their overall performance, as well as reliability. Check out my latest avatar-includes a recent pic overlooking yet another majestic beauty and landmark- SF's Golden Gate Bridge. BEST REGARDS ALWAYS

Yes, Dinan is currently hosting a thawing out spring special. It's a 20% discount on all their high performance upgrades currently offered (with exception of their BIG BRAKE Dinan/Brembo kits). Go for it while the getting is that much better! BEST REGARDS!

Got the Dinan Stage 1 suspension on my car. I think it's missing some components like the ability to adjust the height and the strut bar? i think it's called (goes across the engine bay from tower to tower.

Either way, handling wise, the car is amazing, little to no rocking on the hard curves.

And they have a sale? Wow, never knew that would ever happen.... maybe I should consider getting that intake from them...hmmmm.
