Hi all. I have looked over your forum and decided to join.

I purchased my 2002 530i Sport (44k miles) in Sept of 05. I also have a 1991 300ZX Twin Turbo and 1983 280ZX Turbo. The Bimmer is the DD. The TT is for summer weekends and the 280ZX is retired. I have done extensive restoration and upgrading to the TT (430bhp) and plan on doing a bit more.

I have included the pics...

Steve

Thanks. Yes, the 280ZX Turbo is a nice car. Mine has an intercooler (aftermarket) that I installed, to enable an increase in boost with a boost controller and a remapped ECU. Not a rocket like the Twin Turbo but it's fun.

I just discovered that the 2002 BMW I-6 powerplant was voted the best engine in the world by Wards Auto News in 2002. (link attached).

Thanks.

No, the house in the background with the Bimmer is not mine (I wish). It belonged to the previous owner of the car who lived in a very affluent neighborhood, west of Boston, Mass. There were a LOT of nice cars in that area...

I plan to only mod the the 530i lightly at first (I already have a money pit in the TT). Intake + Exhaust being the primaries and M5 bumper as a secondary.

Nice 540i you have there in your sig...looks great.

Thanks. You understand the modding bug. It starts with a few mods, but it grows :)

dinan540 01-17-2006 05:34 PM

Definitely go with the M5 bumber and fogs. I think they dress up the fronts of the E39s well. For most of my interior and exterior mods, I like ACS.
