E34 ignition switch broken?
My ignition switch failed so I opted for a new BMW one. It has arrived but is different to the old one. The old one has a plastic part that facilitates the fitting of two wires, The new one has not and has a plain trim.
After searching the net I eventually had a peep into the column and found that a white metal part that will fit to the rear of the switch was loose and appears to have a piece missing from the rear. The rear appears to have been a full circle and is now missing a quarter of its area. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Terry UK
