89 525i New Struts followed by Electrical Malfunction

I had the rear struts replaced (left side actually broke loose and was making a heck of a racket). Driving home (3 miles) the engine ran very rough. Next day I also found at least the following not working:
Power windows
Wipers
Radio
Computer
Shift indicator
Sunroof
Looking at a wiring diagram suggests to me the electronics under the rear seat. All fuses seem OK (continuous), but what about those modules?
I suspect the struts, the engine, and the electrical are all related. Possible?
Is there something in the vicinity of the struts I should have the mech look at (this is a neighborhood garage - nothing fancy) to see if they broke or dislodged some wiring? I can't easily get under there myself.
Any other ideas?
Thanks.

Wipers, computer, sunroof, windows, interior lights. All of that is controlled by the body control module under the rear seat (if memory serves, its the one in the middle). I have no idea though how replacing the struts would have cause it to fail/cease functioning. I'd check all the fuses first, if nothing then that's your most likely culprit.
