Woes and happiness

Have a horrible rattle somewhere under the bonnet. So last friday I had her on a ramp to try and find it - couldn't but found the cat was knackered too. Got a place to fit a custom high flow stainless CAT and CAT back system - sounds nice, not too loud but has a nice deep note.

Found out the reason she has been hunting at idle was due to a leaking inlet manifold gasket - this will be replaced tomorrow and the mech will try and find that bloody incessent rattle too.

Long and short of it is I have spent a shit load of money, will have to spend more tomorrow and still currently have a shitty rattle :-(. However, she sounds pretty damn cool now - will be even better when I get my induction kit back on :-).

did a hi-flow cat make a difference in sound w/ a stock exhaust? My cat is screwed I think, so I will probably need a new one...

Don't know I had a full stainless catback system fitted too. The whole lot together makes a slight difference to mid and high end performance too - not 30 horses or anything like that but a noticeable difference. Next I want to get a pair of polished stainless manifolds (headers) and down pipes and there should really be a difference then.
