1990 525i
electrical meltdown
windows,stereo, seats, sunroof, clock, door locks don't work.
car runs fine. when i push the seat adjustment the door open sign lights up. i have checked all the fuses and they are fine. where do i start?

Have you had a look at the fuse box (Mine is under the hood, left side rear, near the left side windshield A pillar)

yes. for a while it was going out when the car got hot ie. out in the sun. now it is completely out

Next thing I'd check is for a main fuse-able link in the engine compartment. May not be user serviceable

Could it be something going bad with your alternator?

if it was a problem witht eh alternator, the battery would have died already

try the computer module under the passenger seat, it may be busted or shorted
