New week new problem

My ABS light issue solved itself, ...for now anyway. The week before it was a waterpump.
The other day on the way back from lunch I noticed my car sounded like it was sputtering, it was ok at idle but under any kind of load it started to sound like an old sputtering dumptruck. I did a quick check to make sure all my plug wires were on securely, they were.
Today I had more time to look at it, so I inspected all the wires, took off the cap and rotor, all looked ok. I loaded up with Super Unleaded and a bottle of fuel treatment/injector cleaner since I was just about on empty. If it is a fuel system problem I know it might take a few days to run any bad gas out of the system so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
It sounds like it is running on 5 cylinders, I am wondering if one of the injectors is clogged or just not working. Does anyone know if a clogged catalytic converter would produce these symptoms? My temp. has not been any higher than normal. Any advice, ideas, comments welcome.

we need diagnostics dude - OBD, computer, the works. it will help you give an idea on faults of the system, specifically the sensors (ex. a faulty or wet crank sensor would cause your engine to sputter, better check the contacts of the airflowmeter, sometimes the connectors get so dirty that the car idles rough then stops

Update

Tried the stomp test numerous times, never any codes. Replaced the crank position sensor today the old one was in bad shape, the boot was torn and several wires were exposed and broken, thought this would fix it for sure. No such luck, still runs like crap. Anyone?
