ABS light

I have a 1989 535i with approx 225k on the clock. It's in pretty decent shape for it's age and miles but I am having a little trouble passing inspection lately. My ABS light comes on intermittently, one day it will be on, the next day it won't. I have recently replaced a rear caliper, rear pads and the brake sensors.
The front pads and calipers are good.:confused
Any input, tips, advice would be welcomed.

a good place to start would be the speed sensors, make sure the connector is tight and the connections are clean. it may have gone bad and be in need of replacing.
