Fault Codes ???
Hi Everyone, am new to this site as well as new to owning a BMW!
I have a 1989 525I... Just clocked over 300,000k and dash has stopped working! speedo and tacho fine but all other gauges on dash dont work...
Also while driving along,,, get 3 beeps every now and then for no apparent reason,,, anyone know what they supposed to mean?
Also was told dash needs a "CHIP" replaced at $700+ whatever labour and recoding charges would be.... Anyone know how to get around this?
P.S... Car real pleasure to drive so long as you dont exceed 80kph.... then vibrates and shakes like front end gonna fall off.... Tyres and mags in near new condition, cant see anything worn or broken under car.... anyone know what i should be looking for?
