air flow meter
hello everyone, can any of you help me locate a airflow meter for my recently bought 525i e34, as the one on my car is playing silly buggers! Would appreciate any help.

hey big evil, my car`s air flow meter is not playing ball! only had car a few days and the air flow meter was mentioned as a "to fix". i disconnected the wiring from the meter as this alloys me to drive the car almost as normal. but when i re-connect the wiring, engine revs increase then decrease a couple of times, before settling down to a regular idle. Indicative of a problem with flow meter, d`ya think? ( i have previously owned saab 9000`s, and had exact same problem with one of those)!

Certainly sounds like you're on to it. Just as a matter of course you may want to replace the rubber elbow from the MAF to the throttle plate as well when you do the fix (they wear out and get leaks deep in the bellows over time). Good luck.
