530i rear defogger not working

Just bought her this weekend and the rear defroster/defogger isn't working any clues? The light comes on on the dash switch, but no action on the window? Thanks for any help!! :)

Hi,

It may be that the filiment on the window has been broken maybe when a previous garage sticker was removed before selling the car. There is a type of paste that can be used to allow the power to pass through the whole window.
