BMW 530d e39 engine cut out - United Bimmer Community

the engine on my 530d cut out on the motorway at 70mph. there were no noises to concern me. the engine turns over but doesn't start. any ideas of where to look 1st for the problem. the correct fuel is in the tank.

My first look would be the fuel pump.
