Temperature Display
Last evening, the temperature reading on my 2000 528i decided to drop down to about 30 degrees f, start flashing and ringing a bell, then proceed to climb back up to about 55 degrees f, where it is close to the actual temp.
I know that this is an ice warning if the temp does, indeed drop to 30-something, but after having this happen several times after starting, then one time after driving for about 15 minutes - I'm starting to become concerned.
Most likely, the connection to the temp sensor is loose. When there is no contact, the display shows the lowest possible temp (I know from when mine was disconnected)
