Even if we get .5" of snow in Seattle, my 540 is retarded in the snow. Open diff. on a rear wheel drive car is so gay. With LSD and a set of winter tires you would have had no problem.

On the E39, the only car with a stock lsd is a the M5. I have plans of installing an M5 lsd in my car in the spring or summer time, I hope. It seems lately that any extra money is going toward home improvements.
took my touring out for a ride today, about 50 miles. Tires were deformed already, brakes rusty. The first 10-15 kilometers were like riding a horse with stiff legs, the car wouldn't heat up, nor would the engine, I had an mpg of about 5, and the ride was jolty.
After a while, it was cool tho, the tires and engine warmed up and I floored it a bit
had to watch out in the curves, tho... temps were at 25 F, so I drifted a bit.
Yeah, I still got summer tires. I'm a dumbass, sometimes.

Yeah, had to do this a couple o times... works better in second or third gear tho (make sure nothing is in front of you if you suddenly gain traction tho!)
