E39 530D 2001 Touring Diagnose Connector
 

Can somebody please help me to locate the 20 pol diagnosis connector in the engine compartment.

Its under your dash next to your hood release. Square connector. BMW moved it to there after 99.

If you vehicle has both a round under the hood and square under the dash, use the round under the hood or you will not communicate with all your moduels.
