Percent Tint - United Bimmer Community

So everyone,

I am in the market for tinting my car. I am a 32 year old, married professional. What percent tint would you recommend on my car? It has black interior also.

Let me know what percent and why I should do it. I am torn that is why I want some help.

It depends what you like, if I had your car I would put on 20% but you would have to take them off and put them back on because that is too dark to pass inspection. But I think a car black car with dark tints looks amazing.

Trust me, if you have a black car, 20% will match perfectly.

In south Florida, most cars are tinted. It's good for keeping cool, but some cars I drive I can't see out the back at all at night.

take 30 or 35... we have 35 on our volvo (in europe it's not allowed to tint front windshield and driver/passenger windows) and it's cool

I like the idea of tinting the windshield because I never wear sunclasses, hate the visor and for some anonymity. I am leaning toward the 20%. I just don't want it to look too gangsta. I have been tossing around the idea of buying wheels in the spring and coilovers. The wheels would most likely be black too.

With 35% you still feel the sun heavy on you, I know because that's what I had on my E36. With 20% the sun doesn't bother me on bit. Now, now, in NC, the windshield is a BIG No-NO with the cops. SO I don't know about that....

tinted windshield is hugely illegal here, too. i have 30% for a good mix between keeping the sun out and being able to see at night.

I figured if I did 35% on the windshield, I would avoid the cop issue. Plus, I can always get a doctors note from my buddy that is an opthamologist.

Yes and no... they have to cut a square on the side so you can get your car inspected and that leaves enough room for them to tell

Rooz don't worry you won't look "gangsta" "gangstas" get limo tints and also bulletproof their cars and also you don't have big ass rims so 20% tint will be good.

??? My windows are already tinted 20% and have been for almost a year now.... Where you been bud?
